FAQ

Shift confirmation FAQ for cleaning teams

Practical answers for cleaning business owners, managers, and admins.

Product and fit

What is shift confirmation software?

Shift confirmation software helps teams confirm who accepted assigned work, see who still needs follow-up, and track coverage issues after a schedule is created.

What problem does CleanConfirm solve first?

It helps managers see who confirmed, who still needs follow-up, and which shifts may need cover before clients are affected.

How is CleanConfirm different from scheduling software?

Scheduling software handles broader planning such as routes, bookings, calendars, or jobs. CleanConfirm focuses on confirmations, reminders, cover requests, and final shift status; teams can import assigned shifts by CSV or add individual shifts manually.

Who is CleanConfirm best for?

CleanConfirm is best for owner-led house cleaning and commercial cleaning teams with about 5 to 30 people that already plan work elsewhere but need clearer follow-up after scheduling.

Does CleanConfirm replace my scheduling software?

No. CleanConfirm works after your schedule is created. It helps your team confirm assigned shifts, send reminders, track responses, and coordinate cover.

Your current workflow

What if a cleaner does not confirm?

Managers can see unconfirmed shifts and follow up before the job starts, instead of finding out when a client is already waiting.

Can I use it with Jobber, Housecall Pro, or Google Sheets?

Yes. Keep using your current planning tool or spreadsheet, then use CleanConfirm as the confirmation and cover layer after shifts are assigned.

Can I import a spreadsheet or CSV?

Yes. CSV import creates assigned shifts, and owners or admins can add individual shifts manually. CleanConfirm still focuses on confirmation and coverage, not full scheduling.

Does a confirmed shift guarantee attendance or coverage?

No. It records that the assigned cleaner explicitly responded that they can work the shift. It does not guarantee future attendance or coverage. If plans change later, managers still need to follow up and handle replacement or cover.

Cleaner responses and cover

Do cleaners need to be technical?

No. Cleaners only need the essentials: see assigned work, confirm shifts, receive reminders, or request cover when needed.

Do cleaners need to download an app?

No separate app is required. The cleaner flow is lightweight so team members can review assigned work and respond quickly.

What happens when someone cannot work?

CleanConfirm keeps the cover request and replacement status visible so managers can coordinate the next step without losing the update in messages.

Is CleanConfirm for residential or commercial cleaning teams?

Both. It is useful for residential cleaning teams, commercial cleaning teams, and small operations teams that need better visibility after scheduling.

Should a Cleaning Manager Treat No Response Differently From Cannot Make It?

Yes. No response and Cannot make it should remain separate because they require different manager actions.

If an assigned cleaner has not responded, the shift remains Unconfirmed. An owner or admin can manually follow up, but the lack of a response should not be treated as a decline, a call-out, or proof that the cleaner cannot work.

If the cleaner explicitly says Cannot make it, the staffing problem is known. The shift can move to Pending Cover, staff or an admin can submit a Cover Request, and an owner or admin reviews that request before any reassignment.

If a Cover Request is approved, the selected replacement becomes the assigned cleaner — but the replacement still needs to confirm the shift separately.

Trial and workspace

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. You can start the 14-day trial without a credit card. Sign in with Google, create your workspace, and choose a plan after the trial.

What happens after the 14-day trial?

After the trial, the workspace owner chooses a paid plan to keep using CleanConfirm. Plans are based on active Admin and Staff members.

How is workspace data protected?

Dashboard access requires sign-in, and workspace data is scoped to workspace members and roles. Payment details are handled by the payment provider.

Ready to try it?

Keep shifts confirmed, covered, and clear.
